#Deardigitaldiary
Already from the airplane, the view is breathtaking! I fly over the dead sea and see Qumran, where the scrolls of Isaiah were found. Impressive mountains.
The desert is immense, there are some Oasis, and many more magnificent mountains.
In the morning I arrive in Eilat, which is down, down south, at the reed sea, in Israel.
"Is it here where Moses and the Israelite crossed?" I think to myself. "First they walked towards the water in full faith, then (!) YAH parted the sea", is one of the teachings I extracted
from Exodus.
Eilat is mentioned in the bible as "Ezion Geber" (for example in 1Kings 9:26), some one explains to me.
It is kind of breathtaking actually SEEing and walking on the places of the bible...
Everything goes perfect and I arrive easily to Zo.'s parents house.
I haven't slept the whole night...
It is 10 in the morning.
And it is good to be here now.
My friend Zo is getting ready to go to a Hotel, where survivors of the massacre are.
Zo helps with watertherapy.
I decide to accompany her.
In the entrance of the hotel is a pool, where people let people float in the water. This is what Zo does to help.
Here in Eilat are many survivors of massacre and people from the kibbutzim.
They look paralized, in their eyes it is written that they saw horrific things.
Outside the hotel, sitting on the sidewalk there is a man crying like a baby.
"At least he is able to cry..." I think. This means he is letting go of the tension and is cleansing the heart.
I go home to Zo's parents and talk to them. Also here I can feel tension... "What happened on saturday has not happened since the holocaust.", I can truely understand that they are so worried and
sad.
We have lunch at Zo's grandma house. I am fed like one is fed by a grandmother. With delicious moroccan food.
We stay a bit at granny's and then leave to the beach, to meet some friends.
The water of the reed sea is healing and I am amazed by how heaven's colours are reflected in the seawater.
Many vibrant excellent shades of blue and turquoise. Just wow.
"This is Edom", Zo points her finger to the mountainchain in front of us.
For a moment I forget what happened and how much suffering is happening in the country.
Short moments of inner peace and deep breathing...
"We go to another hotel to help. We can offer movement therapy, would you like to join us?" Zo's friends asked me. "It won't be easy for you..." They add.
Some minutes later I understood what she was saying.
We arrive at this huge luxury hotel.
There are no more tourists, so the hotel is hosting traumatized people and survivers of the massacres. Refugees.
The contrast is surreal. Seeing this fancy hotel with all these traumatized people... is surreal!
So many! Children, men, women. Old people.
People starring into the void.
Shiverring. Weeping.
The girls are talking to the people who live here now, I sit with them. Sometimes they translate for me, sometimes there were no words needed.
The dark circles under their eyes and the expression of their faces tell their stories. No translation needed.
"There was peace the whole 4 weeks I was travelling through the country...
Palestinians were saying to me that their hebrew neighbours were their 'brothers'.
There was PEACE!
How can this happen so quickly?"
My mind troubles me until we get home.
"In such short time... Everything changed.
In an egoistic way I take this Hamas attack really personal.
An attack to my inner peace.
"Yeshua, you are the only salvation.
Turn the other cheek you say... How can you say this? Who is able to do this? Please cleanse my heart and my mind. Show us the truth, the way and the life.
Please help here. Pour out your spirit.
Yeshua, how is it possible to forgive those things that happened? How can I find peace of mind again?
Please help. Help all victims. Bless all people I encountered today. Give them peace of mind.
Amén"
